This was the best meal we had in Kyoto, if not all of Japan! The chef is very lovely and welcoming, even though we don't speak Japanese. The food was outstanding. Super fresh sashimi. Innovative tempura. The duck was really great, too. We also really enjoyed watching him work in the kitchen and prepare food for others. Thank you for the unforgettable meal!

We were exactly looking for such restaurant: local restaurant, small place and we were seating right in front of the chef, who is lovely and prepare amazing small dishes. It was PERFECT! Thanks a lot once again!

Brand new super cute izakaya. The food was delicious - we had the duck, vegetable tempura, mackerel (鯖) with miso sushi and a black flour honey pudding for dessert. The owner/chef is very friendly and we enjoyed chatting to him. English menu is available
