Curry was so good, I fell in love again. This was recommended by a local and we were the only foreigners there at the time.

Unique curry sauce, spread generously over the steaming hot rice. Rich peppery taste, different to the other Japanese curries we have sampled. We came here twice and sampled four different dishes: plain curry, tonkatsu curry (once with added cheese) and curry with potato croquet and eggplant. Local business with a warm and inviting atmosphere. A gem hidden in the streets of Yamashina!

Wow - this was our favorite from our two weeks in Japan. We ordered the tonkatsu (pork cutlet) curry, but I added eggplant. A mistake the others made by not doing the same! The meat was delicious, not one fatty bite, eggplant was a delightful addition and well-cooked, and the curry was so flavorful! Had we eaten here our first night, we would’ve returned the following night as our neighbor at the restaurant was doing. Seating is limited, but it would be well worth your wait.
