This small local restaurant is the secret gem of Ichijoji. Although it is surrounded by stiff competition such as numerous famous ramen joints, and a more well known Indian curry place down the street, this is by far my favorite place in the area. The real highlight is Nandi's signature "pulau", rice fried with spicy dry curry. The mixture of spices is hot but not painfully so, just enough to get those endorphins running. So many delicious flavors packed into each bite, it's like heaven. They provide free pickles to counteract the spiciness, allowing you to refresh your tongue and fully appreciate the taste without being overwhelmed by the spicy heat. The curries are also delicious. They have a great variety of Indian, Indonesian, and Thai curries. For those that cannot handle spicy food, there are also some excellent milder options. Very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend Nandi enough!
