More Comments at Google MapWow, wow, wow. This place was absolutely incredible. This was by far the best meal we’ve had in Japan, and most definitely the best steak we’ve ever eaten. From the ambience, to the service, to the cooking, and food, everything was so good. The staff were so kind. We came without a reservation, and since it was a Tuesday night we were the only ones there. They were so welcoming. I can’t say more good things about this restaurant. Expensive, but the quality of the meat and veggies is top tier. We will come back to Kyoto just for this.
The restaurant is a teppanyaki place that we just happened to stumble on. We were the only ones there and had a private room. They were so friendly and accommodating. She said she had others ask and asked if she could keep the tamari packet so she could order some. They don't have a gluten free menu but are somewhat aware. The cooktop was extremely clean. We brought our own GF tamari and the chef used it to make our fried rice which was amazing! The vegetables and meat were only seasoned with salt, butter and the oil that he infused with fresh sliced garlic that he had crisped in first The Oomi wagyu sirloin from the Shiga prefecture was hand down the best we've ever had. The chef melted some of the steak fat to cook the meat to perfection. They even gave us a copy of the cow's birth certificate with nose print
A kyoto hidden gem. My husband and I were the only ones in the restaurant and its a crime because the food is heavenly and at current usd to yen exchange rate, its an absolute steal. We both got the reccomended steak and vegetable set. It came with a healthy amount of extremely marbled steak and it melted in your mouth. I generally don't like steak but my husband really loves it so this stop was mostly to suit him, however, even I thought it was exceeding delicious. My husband said it was the best steak of his life and thats saying something with all the meat he has eaten. The vegetables were also fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and can all speak English so there's no need to be anxious about ordering. After the meal the staff brings you hot green tea to sip on while viewing out the window to the garden. While it was dark outside the garden was extremely aesthetic as raindrops fell slowly into the pond. I genuinely only have good things to say and reccomend stopping by. Beware there is a 10% service charge if you're on a strict budget.
