More Comments at Google MapOne of the best places I have tried in Kyoto and their chicken meatball ranks no.1 in my heart. But if I did remember correctly, the price is a little higher than some other yakitori places. However since the food is tasty, still worth it.
This is a yakitori izakaya (Sumi-yaki means charcoal grilled). Large variety of chicken skewers both organs and breast, thigh and ground chicken. Chicken is very fresh and tasty. Also offers skewers of seasonal vegetables such as eggplant, onion, and various mushrooms. Agedashi tofu amazing - grilled, then topped with bonito, onion sprouts and freshly-grated ginger. Many mixed drinks. A few sakes and beers. Easier to get in on Friday or Saturday. Make a reservation to be assured a spot. For more travel information, visit NextStageTravel dot com.
Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Kyoto. Delicious yakitori, and veggie skewers to go with it. We tried a mix of the chicken minced meat skewers, grilled tofu, peppers, eggplant. The soborro rice was a smashing finisher. Dream meal. Reservation recommended.
