I was so hungry at night and all other restaurants were full and not really welcoming foreigners who do not speak Japanese. I walk by this restaurant and trying to get some food. The staff told me the order time is 30 min left and I am not exactly sure what does it mean. But he still welcomed me. The price is very reasonable and affordable. I really enjoy the Black chicken skewers and the ramen.

English menu available. Lovely staff. They have tofu and various vegetable kushikatsu (breadcrumbed & fried on sticks). Also have a tofu & green onion curry udon, and a yuba & tofu udon in a thin dashi sauce/soup - mild and savory, not too fishy. Average prices for Kyoto (mains around 900 - 1500).

The clerk was very polite, the price was very affordable, and the taste was great. Typical Japanese food. Four people ate for more than 3,800 yen. It seemed that visa could not be used, so we paid in cash. There was an uncle drinking and smoking in the store, and the smell was quite strong, but the non-smoking area and the smoking area were too close, so we couldn't change to a location without the smell. The clerk apologized to us for a long time. He even came out and bowed to see him off.
