I was not used to the taste of the dipping sauce that came with the hot udon noodles I ordered, but the more I dipped, the more I was used to it. The udon was cooked to perfection. The soup was delicious and I ended up drinking it all lol. My partner ordered hot udon with tempura. He loved it.

One of the best udon I've ever had. Ordered a hot and cold udon. The cold udon was sprightly and chewy, with a harder texture. The warm one was slightly less chewy. You can tell both were handmade and of great quality. The soup on both was flavorful but not overbearing. The Dan Dan udon was rich and great. Combined with a free 2x udon serving I had no issues being completely full for the rest of the day. Absolutely recommended. Despite the queue we went in rather quickly too

Myself and a friend stumbled upon this restaurant when came to Arashiyama for a visit, and as we didn't look for anything in particular we are happy we came to this little restaurant. We both ordered udon and with different fillings, one duck and tempura. Mine was the tempura and I have to say this udon is really freshly made and prepared really well compared to fast udon places and the tempura is nicely cooked and very delicious. It is a little bit pricier than the fast udon places, but worth wating here. You can also order sake, and I ordered warm sake to go with my Udon, whether it goes together or not I'm not sure but loved it 👍
