More Comments at Google MapWent for the Kaiseki meal. There are various price points (5500 to 9500 yen) and the higher you go they will provide more dishes. Went as a group of 3. You dont have to order the same meal but obviously a lower price point will have less dishes then a higher price point. They are really nice and can still time it so everyone ends at the same time. Note that you do have to order a drink too but they are fairly priced. Loved their cold sake. Made reservations to sit at the front and it was a great experience. You might not have to make reservations depending on time of day. We went on Monday night and there were seats available. Highly recommended for the atmosphere, hospitality and food. I got the 9500 option and main differences from the cheapest option is a Fugu dish (amazing), free range chicken, and some slight variations in fish/ingredients.
Absolutely amazing! The chef is the nicest woman and happens to speak great English so she was able to explain each dish in depth to us, which made the already delicious food that much more enjoyable. Wonderful experience, our best meal while in Japan!
Kaiseki with superb local fresh fish and very high quality seasonal japanese ingredients. Family owned (mother, father and daughter (who speaks great English) and their aunt) run the restaurant together and take great pride in the delicious and thoughtful dishes they serve. Expect to try some new fish like blowfish (which they are certified to prepare and serve) as well as hamo (they have this wonderful soup with hamo - must order). Wonderful experience and would definitely come back. And everyone was so nice and the daughter was very informative - enriching and personalizing our experience. Wish we had Kaiseki in San Francisco! Nothing quite like it... very cool cuisine and style - we did the 11 course meal.
