Visited Iimura at the recommendation of our hotel as a good value for money Kaiseki experience and this place did not disappoint! Outstanding food, kind staff with good English ability who made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. If you’d like to try a proper Kyoto Kaiseki set menu without having to sell your left kidney to pay for it, then visit Iimura - I promise you won’t regret it. Okini!

Came here to try the famous in Kyoto, Kaiseki menu, the service was lovely, spoke very good English, menu was well explained to us. You could tell every piece was prepared with such a great care. A truly amazing experience and was happy to meet people working at this place and enjoy their local specialities.

A great meal with ā la carte options and set menus. Having a private room was lovely. The sushi was fantastic with lots of seafood options.
