Authentic Japanese experience. The staff is really friendly. The food is delicious, especially the mackerel sashimi.

I can tell this place is absolutely authentic of Japan atmosphere, i can see the building is very old and this old place was around 50yo or over i think, the food was amazing, but you have to bear with standing and they have limited time if you want to spend your time there. It’s only 2 hours max time for staying there

Great place for beer and tempura and they have an English menu! We stopped here because we were walking around looking for tempura and saw some in their plastic food display outside the restaurant. We looked it up on Google and were a bit reluctant because we saw the review about foreigners being turned away but decided to walk in anyways. We were greeted in a friendly manner and given an English menu. We ordered some drinks and a selection of tempura from the menu and it was all delicious. The place was packed with Japanese at 2pm and I think we were the only foreigners there so it seems like a popular local Izakaya.
