There’s no need to worry about this spot. Some of the best service I’ve had in Kyoto. Everyone’s quick, kind, and the food was heavenly! We came on a rainy day and they called in advance to tell us we couldn’t sit on the terrace, it was really thoughtful! I also appreciated the cozy atmosphere and the tempura…fantastic! Even on a short trip it’s worth visiting. Try their salads, the octopus was amazing!

We cannot confirm the negative reviews here. The food was fresh and very good (we have chosen the menue) and the service was great (very friendly and fast). We had a table at the first floor (no chairs, sitting on the floor with great view on the river). The bill was absolutely correct and the price per person was reasonable (menue with 3 persons and drinks: 80€ = 87$). We recommend this restaurant.

Izakaya, so a bit crampy. Great food. Fresh as it should be. Large portions. Yakitori, salad, eggplant, etc. All very nice. Fast & pleasant service. Not so cheap, but on this location for this quality, not complaining.
