Fantastic little Izakaya bar with home cooked food. The omelette, tofu and chicken were so tasty. Aya the owner was incredibly kind and generous with her time and knowledge of Kyoto 🙏😃 If you want an authentic experience in a great little Izakaya you won't be disappointed. Good sake.

During our trip to Kyoto, we were hit by an unexpected blizzard. Most places were closed and we walked past this hidden gem. We were welcomed and the lovely lady warmed us up with warm Sake and a comforting bowl of traditional Japanese soup! We sat and talked with the lady for a couple of hours (I am sorry I have forgot your name). Your food and beverages were delicious! Thank you so much for your hospitality, kindness and allowing us to take shelter from the snow! Your kindness will be remembered. We will be back! ❤️

Aya made our visit to Kyoto so special! She recommended many delicious local Kyoto delicacies and sakes and shared interesting stories about each one - all in near-perfect English. The bar is in the middle of a dark alleyway but the lights and lantern of her shop shine warmly. I'm really glad we decided to come here!
