Kyoto, Japan｜Iso Stand

Super fancy and popular bar in Kyoto. It seems like this is a famous place for people and Kyoto. We didn't get a seating space when we came it but we were able to get a place at the attending table which was okay for us. They do not have a menu in English, which makes life first a bit harder, but we managed it. They have a good selection of different wine, gins and sake. We had a gin soda, beer and some food. Their chicken karage was very very good and fresh, the gratin was tasty, too. Cool place.

Really cute and hipster izakaya place in the middle of Kyoto. They are part of a restaurant chain that is supported by their own farms which is really cool. We got the tasting menu which was 3000¥ per person for 8 courses! The dishes were really diverse and I appreciated the variety. Be warned they don’t have an English menu, but Google translate on their website was pretty easy. Their wine/sake menu is exclusively in Japanese, so we asked them to choose a sake for us which ended up being delicious. Tasting menu for 2 with 2 cocktails and a half carafe of sake was 9500¥.

Fancy Izakaya with great drinks and food. The menu is in English, but using the translator apps will solve your issue ;) They have a great variety of drinks with decent wine selection and cocktails. Also, several gins are served. Absolutely worth a visit!
