Kyoto, Japan｜Teppan Steak House 青山

A small and somewhat private dining establishment. Giving you the field of dinner cooked just for you. With seating for only around 10 people you can easily imagine having your own private gourmet meal. We rented out the entire restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. The food was at a reasonable price and delicious. The wine was good. The ambience and friendliness of the chefs and staff made the experience a five star rating for myself. And my family we have become repeat customers when we go to Kyoto. I highly recommend you make reservations a few weeks in advance.

We were staying close and wanted to have some teppanyaki. This was an excellent choice. Only eight seats, but this is the real deal (forget Benihana). Just delicious veggies and steak cooked in front of you, very fresh and delicious. The garlic chips were surprising, delicate, and tasty (can I repeat “delicious”?). This will be about a $100 USD per person (including sake). Your heart will be satisfied. Totally worth it.
