Came to this restaurant specially after reading good reviews and we were not disappointed. It's just around the corner from Nison-ji Temple. Welcoming look from outside. Inside, there were normal tables for four. We had the privilege of sitting at the tatami table for four, although we had numb legs at the end of the meal. Hahaha! We tried the conger eel, tempura vegetables and buta don with cold udon. They were really crispy, tasty and of good price. Ended the meal with ice coffee. It had strong roast and refreshing on a hot day. It was quite full but there was no queue as some people just left when there were no tables available. Service was efficient but you would need to wait for the food to be prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant if you walk up to this point from the Bamboo Forest.

It's cool, there are not many tourists, and it can be used as a resting place in summer. The set meals and desserts are very generous and taste good. Recommend the eel rice set meal and matcha ice cream.

Very cozy and typical restaurant in arashiyama less tourist streets. The food was amazing and the enviroment has relaxed vibes, very quiet. Totally recommend if you're strolling in arashiyama looking for a relaxed spot
