Kyoto, Japan｜THE SODOH HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO｜Restaurant

Decided on a late lunch and to splurge. Got a Chef's select 3 course meal and it was fantastic. The service was the best on our trip so far (I.Morimoto was so kind - she was so friendly and treated us like family). The Wagyu steak is a small portion but it was superb. We are in Kyoto for 8 nights and might have to return for another meal at Sodoh HK. We added a bottle of wine and still came out pretty good = great value and outstanding food.

Decided to treat ourselves in Kyoto as we know Japan is known for fine dining. We were not disappointed. Good selection of dishes with great flavours. Only dish I did not love was dessert which was a bit too tart for my taste. Drinks were not overpriced- G&T was excellent! Atmosphere and service were also excellent. They treated us like valued guests! The courtyard outside is also beautiful.

It was an amazing experience! The service, the food, and the atmosphere were astounding. And the owner was extremely kind and friendly. Immensely recommended!
