That said, there is a splendid pine tree with branches next to the entrance, and it is quite a private house. When you open the sliding door of the entrance, there is a long corridor. Put your shoes in the clog box and go up in slippers The left side of the corridor is the cash register and kitchen. The right side is the Western-style room that used to be the reception room. Although it has a Showa-like atmosphere, it is a luxurious setting for those days. Behind it is the former Buddhist altar room with tatami mats. There are luxurious transoms, alcoves, and a space where a large Buddhist altar would have been placed. Each room has 3 dining tables for 4 people. Ahead of the Buddhist altar was a hallway on the porch, where I could also see a table for two. The lunch was simple but surprisingly delicious. It's not really elaborate, stylish, or Instagrammable, it's a very ordinary but slightly elegant lunch. An old folk house cafe in Kashihara City☕️ It's in a place you can easily miss. There is only one type of lunch, so you can order it without hesitation. There are many items, and all of them are delicious. You can dine in tatami rooms, Western-style rooms, and even on the veranda. It has a calm atmosphere and is always crowded with people. Reservations are recommended. The parking lot can accommodate about 6 cars, but the staff told us to only park one car, so please be careful. The staff were very friendly and treated people with disabilities with kindness.
