Nara, Japan｜Ouchi-cafe Noel

Lovely little cafe ran out of the owner's home, you get an authentic experience here! The food was all really good, but the ginger kuzuyu was a unique highlight that I haven't seen offered anywhere else. Give it a try if the soba shop next door is too busy ;) that's how we ended up here and we're really glad we did!

Such a cute place and such yummy food!! As foreigners in Japan we were concerned that there would be a large language barrier but the woman running the store was so kind, knew some English and we didn't feel at all out of place! the place is so cute and homely, everything is home cooked and delicious. my sister who is a pretty picky eater even found something to eat! We noticed that there was a pizza making experience on the menu which seemed so fun so maybe check that out if you are able. The whole family seems so hard working and sweet and they genuinely had some of the best food we ate in Japan. 100% recommend.

Super nice and cosy place ! It’s a family business welcoming you in a charming home with traditional Japanese room. We took Soba and the broth was so tasty and generous portion ! They are also selling second hand kimonos that are really affordable and in excellent conditions. We had an amazing experience 🥰
