visited this restaurant after spending our morning at Nara Park and Todaiji temple! the restaurant also has a corner displaying ceramic tableware for sale, and it was very cosy. i ordered an iced milk tea and the hot somen set, which comes with a cup of hot genmaicha and a generous serving of warabimochi. everything was really good and satisfying especially after spending hours under the hot august sun! the hot somen set cost 1200 yen, which is really a steal for its location :-) the elderly owner who served us was also really kind and friendly! would definitely recommend visiting :-)

Homely made food. Vegetables stew quite fresh. Curry food items, oyakodon are simple yet tasty. Warabimochi quite special, can try.

Had cold somen on a scorching day in Nara and this really hit the spot! Chewy noodles, flavourful sauce, delicious crunchy vegetables and the fluffy beancurd skin made for an absolutely delightful lunch. The warabi mochi and genmaicha wrapped up our meal perfectly. With reasonable prices, homely and comforting food and warm service from a lovely old lady, i will not hesitate to recommend this place!
