The best Calvados bar in the world! This is a 9 to 10 seater bar run by Takayama-san. He speaks very good English and is a very good host. I would recommend calling in advance for reservations or availabilities as the bar gets full quick. He has an amazing whisky (mainly Scotch and Japanese) selection aside from his out of world Calvados collection. One hell of a gem for me to find while wondering around Kyoto. I'll definitely return here.

Make sure to reserve a seat prior to your visit.

A beautiful (and very hidden - look for the apple symbol and head to the 2nd floor) bar with delicious cocktails and an impressive selection of Calvados and whiskey. Mr. Takayama is very knowledgeable and passionate, plus his English is top-notch for those looking to learn more about the drinks on offer. Highly recommended!
