Zhongzheng District, Taipei City｜Katsuya Hoyii Taipei Station Restaurant

Found this katsu place through google reviews and they have Teppan options (which isnt commonly found where I'm from). Great food!

The restaurant seems to be understaffed because we had to wait outside for a while before finally could gain entry into the restaurant. However, it's worth it. The tonkatsu is affordable at only around NTD $200, the portion given is also very big. The tonkatsu is coated on the outside with a large number of breadcrumbs making it exceptionally crispy. The meat inside is also very tender and juicy, with just the right amount of fat so that you will not feel sick of it. The ebi is also very tasty. The icing on the cake is that there is a free flow supply of tea on every table, with a jug filled with the tea. Overall, it's a good experience although I would not recommend going here during lunch hour (i've seen customers getting turned away because there were not enough seats). Would come again.

Delicious and relatively inexpensive place for Katsu conveniently located right across the street (or under the underpass) from Taipeiain Station in the basement of the Hoyii mall/complex. This place is authentic and leaves you satisfied. We were there at an off hour around 15:00 and the place was empty spare 1 additional customer - service was great and friendly and the place was very clean.
