Chiba, Japan｜Mikuni

Visited on April 25, 2023. I got off work in the morning again today, and had my first lunch in a while at [Tonkatsu Mikuni] in Shinjuku before running errands in the afternoon. Since the hamburger steak was over, I was worried about today's lunch, so I ordered the ``upper loin cutlet,'' and Kami ordered the ``three-meal fried chicken (shrimp, scallop, and bite cutlet).'' Since it was towards the end of lunch time, I didn't have to wait and was able to sit down at the counter 😊 The food was served shortly after, and I lightly sprinkled the sauce on the second one from the left and took a bite! ︎It was soft and had an indescribable texture that made me say ``It's delicious❤️'' even though I was small.😆 Kami, who ate three meals, seemed to be very happy!! ︎We enjoyed the deliciousness of Mikuni for the first time in a while and left the restaurant soaking in the aftertaste😊

Busily run by two elegantly aged couples. It takes a little time, but the tonkatsu is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the sweetness of the pork makes it very juicy. The rich miso sauce was also delicious with rice. Next time I would like to try jumbo tonkatsu. Pork soup and pickles were also delicious. The lovingly prepared dishes by the owner, who wears a chef's hat, and the pleasant hospitality of the proprietress... I can understand why there are so many regulars. It was a charming shop. I will ask you again. It was a feast.

It's a tonkatsu restaurant, but the hamburger is delicious and I always use it for lunch. The taste of the hamburger is condensed tightly and it is very soft and delicious! You can choose from 3 types of sauce (demiglace, tomato, miso), but I always use miso sauce♪ The hamburg steak and miso go well together, not too persistent, and go well with rice. The hamburger steak is a little small, but I am satisfied because I can have rice again ◎ Next time I want to eat tonkatsu too ☺️
