More Comments at Google MapAmazing. I'd never been to Japan before and was taken here by some business colleagues. There was 10 of us and we had a beautiful private dining room. The food was amazing. We had Shabu-Shabu (no idea how you spell it) where you dip your meat in the hot broth with your chopsticks to cook it among other things. I also got my first taste of plum sake. I must admit, I was pleased to find the dip under the table for my legs, my knees were not made for sitting on them or crossed legged for any amount of time. The picture is by a local business man who frequents the restaurant.
Good food, good service
My senior colleague, who treats me like a younger brother, invited me to Yakumo-san, a long-established restaurant, to eat some delicious meat, so I went there for the first time in 10 years. I had a luxurious course of shabu-shabu and grilled meat, and the grilled meat was so soft that it could be cut with chopsticks and melted in your mouth! Yakumo-san is a long-established restaurant that was the first in Nagoya to offer shabu-shabu, and is unique to Yakumo-san, with a pot that has a hollow circular cylinder in the middle and boils over charcoal from below. I was told it was called a rinsing hotpot, so I quickly passed the meat through, and I was impressed by how soft, delicious, and high-quality the meat was.
