I was hesitant to wait in line for 1 hour, but I’m glad I did. It was the best miso soup I’ve ever had, and the rice and sides were equally tasty. Bring comfortable shoes to wait, or come early.

Jetlegged travelers craving for some japanese breakfast - your question has been answered! We came to Asakusa at 7am hoping to avoid the crowd and have the shrine & temple to ourselves. While walking around - we got pretty hungry and was wanting some miso with onigiri - Misojyu offered exactly this! Our fav onigiri was the spicy tuna - was kind of sad we only ordered 1 - should have gotten 2. Really loved the same on the 2nd floor where you can enjoy the traditional Japanese house.

Came here on a rainy Friday around 1pm for lunch. We stumbled upon this spot while antique shopping and soup is always my go to for rainy days. The place was busy (it's a small place) and we had to wait 10-15 minutes for two people. The lunch set was exactly what I needed. The pork miso was so tasty, umami, warming. The carrots and daikon were perfectly cooked (not over done). The tofu with sea salt is superb. I am still thinking about it the next day!
