I stopped by on my way to touring camp. The proprietress is very pleasant and the handmade udon noodles are firm and delicious. My friend and I ordered a tempura udon set meal and a mushroom udon set meal, but the mushroom udon seems to be limited to this time of year. The potato salad and pickles that came with the set meal were also delicious.

The roadside station restaurant was closed, so I took a short walk here. At the recommendation of the kind-looking proprietress, I ordered the Kinokodon set meal. It was hot, so I made a cold soup. As the hostess said, the mushrooms were really delicious! I also drank all the cold soup. The pickles that came with the rice were also delicious and very satisfying. The atmosphere of a rural restaurant is also very nice. Calm down. After dinner, I read materials about the JAL jumbo plane crash. The village chief's eulogy was very moving. Out of respect for the selflessness of the people of Ueno Village, we will continue to visit them on tours.

It's good to eat at the roadside station Ueno, but I also recommend the Yamazato restaurant here. If you want to learn more about Ueno Village, you may want to eat here and read a book about Ueno Village while you wait for your food to arrive. The bookshelf is filled with books about the Japan Airlines plane crash 37 years ago, books on the topography of Ueno Village, etc. Of course, all the dishes are delicious. The portions are large and the udon noodles are chewy, which I think is very good. I would like to stop by again when I go to Ueno Village.
