Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan｜Fress-gasse

Our family visited this little restaurant in Karuizawa last week. We ordered their sausage, spareribs and ham lunch sets together with a side order of their smoky duck, as well as their organic ginger ale. All the dishes were exceptionally good, the ham was tasty, spareribs and usages were delicious. Personally I found their smoky duck my best for the day, a must try dish in my opinion. Surprisingly their ginger ale was quite tasty, a bit different than the Canadian Ginger Ale. The restaurant stuffs were super friendly, sharing with us his travel experiences to Canada and Malaysia. We would definitely revisit this place the next time we are in town.

This is a small local restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The food taste good. We have ham steak, fried chicken, smoked duck and pork piccata. They are all very delicious. They even have english menu.

Highly recommended! Smoked ribs is really tasty! And the chicken katsu is also great! I like the soap and vegetable so much, it’s sweet and fresh! Kinda our best meal in the trip ;)
