An absolutely lovely, cozy restaurant with the kindest, most wonderful hostess serving delicious Italian cuisine. I came here tonight with my teenage children for dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed the yummy food, pleasant and welcoming ambience, and most notably, the exquisitely warm and gracious service provided by the lady who runs the restaurant. My vegetarian diet requirements were immediately accommodated by her and I had one of the best meals I’ve eaten in Japan. We ordered a green salad which came with a lovely fruity dressing, a margarita pizza, and spaghetti with vegetables and tomato sauce. Everything was sumptuous, including the mango gelato dessert. Highly highly recommend!!

[Definitely recommended! ! ] This Italian restaurant is located on the second floor of the building behind French Bakery and ASANOYA, famous for being frequented by John Lennon, in the middle of Old Karuizawa Ginza Street, the main street of Old Karuizawa. There was a terrace seat during lunch time starting at 11:30, and I used it for the negative reason that it happened to be open at a restaurant where you can eat with your dog, but it was reasonable considering that it was in a prime location on the main street. Or rather, you can choose from a lunch menu or a la carte of pasta and pizza at reasonable prices.I'm sorry, but I went in without having high expectations, but I was disappointed in a good way. Of course, it's a casual restaurant, but even if you order a salad, the ordinary vegetables are delicious, probably due to the location of Karuizawa. The dressing has a refreshing sweet and sour citrus taste (I'm sorry if I'm wrong). The amount of pasta for lunch is not large, but with just one bite you can tell that the ingredients have been cooked with great skill and the taste of the ingredients doesn't vary. Anyway, everything that comes out is delicious. I've only used it twice so far, and I haven't used it on nights when more elaborate dishes are served, but I think the food at this price is fine. What I especially liked more than the pasta was the oven-roasted Shinshu chicken for lunch. The chicken is topped with various vegetables such as tomatoes, zucchini, and lotus roots, and is wrapped in a sauce that we don't know the difference between (like fond de veau?).The oven-roasted vegetables are delicious, and the meat is tender. The pasta spread over the top and covered in the sauce makes it even more delicious. Anyway, my husband and I were very satisfied. The restaurant itself is run by a couple and one person, and there aren't many seats, but even during the three-day weekend when lunch was open, the seats filled up quickly and there were people waiting to be seated. It's quite a popular store. Also, since we were seated on the terrace, the wife took great care of us, worrying about the heat, cold, and wind, which made me very happy. I came by car, so at first I was thinking of going to a family-run restaurant in the woods a little outside of town, but I'm glad I found this restaurant. I didn't realize it, but when my wife first entered after me, a customer who was coming down the stairs passed me and said, ``I came here with low expectations, but it was really delicious.'' I'm really sorry, but when I went down the stairs with exactly the same impression, I was very satisfied with the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.
