The traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious! The rice was cooked in a traditional pot, the grilled salmon had that charcoal flavor, and the miso soup was incredibly tasty too. The restaurant had a charming old Japanese house vibe, and the staff were really friendly.

This is one of the best yet simple Japanese breakfast restaurants in Karuizawa. The ambiance is authentic Japanese dining on the tatami mat.

Delicious Japanese daily meal with fresh local ingredients. Menu is rather simple but food is tasty and most of all the service was great: the staff kindly heated up baby food we brought in, offered rice/furikake/miso soup for a toddler free of charge, and worked with us to find alternative payment methods when we realized that they only accepted cash and no one had money!
