Food was good as expected and if you want to have original touge no kamameshi you should come to this location!

One of the best Obento experiences I have had in Japan.

Speaking of Kamameshi, Yokogawa no Oginoya “Touge no Kamameshi” is famous. There is a large theme park-like Oginoya along the national highway, but this is the main cafeteria. There should be 5-6 parking lots for customers. Since it is not a big store, you will have to wait for a while, but during that time you will be guided to the nearby Oginoya Memorial Museum. I went on a hot day, but the air conditioning wasn't very effective, and the exhibits weren't touched, so I spent a pretty empty time. The menu is only about Kamameshi set meal and Kamayaki pudding. (There are traces of tempura soba and ramen, but they were not there at 14:00 on July 16, 2023.) The kamameshi set meal comes with miso soup and ohagi, but the kamameshi is probably sold. I think it's the same factory premade one as the one you have. (because it was not hot when served) Even if you eat in, you can take a set meal or a pot of pudding home if you wish. You can use it as a pot for cooking ichigo. It's a shop where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the original, so if you're looking for modern service or if you're traveling with children, we recommend going along the national highway.
