More Comments at Google MapI love the sauce katsudon here! Although each piece is very large, it is thin and easy to eat. Olive oil kimchi is also very delicious. It used to be open in the evenings, but now it closes at 3:00 pm, which is a shame as I don't have many opportunities to go there anymore.
The cutlet is thin and soft, making it easy to eat. The seasoning is not too strong nor too light, just right 🙆♀️ The accompanying kimchi was also delicious. A set of 2 pieces of sauced cutlet and udon noodles costs about 1,400 yen. I couldn't eat two of them and took them home.
Available on weekday afternoons in November. There is a parking lot in front of the store, but it seems that you can also use the parking lot at Daily Yamazaki, which is 50 meters away. Currently open only for lunch Sunday through Thursday. When I used it a long time ago, it was a small shop with a counter and two tables, but it seems like they have expanded and it is now larger. My wife chose the ``Kobutadon/with salad (840 yen)'' and I chose the ``Single Sauce Katsudon (590 yen)''. Both come with miso soup and kimchi. "Tare Katsudon" seems to be the name of the Niigata area, but I'm more familiar with "Waraji Katsudon". The freshly made cutlet is so delicious. The soy sauce-based sweet and spicy sauce flavor will make you hungry while eating it. Olive oil kimchi and miso soup are also good. Katsuya's Katsudon is 572 yen. I think I would go to this store even if there were two stores side by side.
