Higashiagatsuma, Gunma, Japan｜Adumaya

This had to be one of my favorite places to eat in all of Japan. It's a bit of a drive but bang for your buck and presentation wise these guys and gals are by far superior. The food is great. The presentation is spectacular. And the portions for the money can't be beat anywhere in Japan.

I was first introduced to this restaurant a few years back by a coworker who is from the area. The restaurant serves soba in a variety of ways. Their sets are a really good deal as you get a little bit of everything. Everything comes out as soon as it’s finished being prepared. There’s a very homey feeling to the place. As opposed to going out to eat, you feel like you’re at a relative’s house for a meal. They are only open during lunch time, and so the wait can be a bit long. It’s a good place to stop at for lunch if you are driving by!
