Maebashi, Gunma, Japan｜大村うどんそば店 関根町店

It's a sister restaurant to the restaurant that won the Maebashi T-1 Grand Prix with their sauce katsudon. By the way, the grand prize went to the former Sojamachi store. Visited around 13:00 on April 24, 2023. When you enter the store, you will be greeted by the pleasant scent of dashi soup. There was just an empty tatami room and I was shown around. I was worried because there were so many options on the menu, but I ordered the sauce katsudon set (my wife) and the katsudon (egg-flavored) set. The rice bowl arrived shortly after. The restaurant was about 80% seated, but I think the serving time was quick, less than 10 minutes. The salad is plentiful and takes quite a while to finish. It comes with plenty of dipping sauce and takuan. The soba noodles are smooth like Sarashina. The soup that goes with it is a sweet bonito stock. It's delicious❗ The katsudon has a jiggling egg 🎵 The cutlet is a little thin, but it feels well-balanced. Once you finish eating, you will be satisfied. Thank you for the meal! ️

I used to go to Isesaki Omura, but it was closed, so I decided to try it. The seasoning was a little different, but it was the best because it resembled Isesaki Omura's sauce cutlet bowl, such as the crispy batter even with the sauce, and the soft meat that was neither too thick nor too thin. The soba here was delicious.

The atmosphere is reminiscent of a nostalgic soba restaurant. The sauce katsudon set is delicious.The sauce on the katsudon is not sweet.
