Kusatsu, Gunma, Japan｜草庵

Stopped there on the way to Kusatsu by car. Plenty of parking space available. The food was delicious and perfect for the Autumn weather where the temperature is starting to drop. I had a tempura Udon, the frying oil is without cholesterol and the vegetable had a rich taste. My partner's Soba were thick and felt like handmade (forgot to ask confirmation). The couple owners were very welcoming and with a good sense of hospitality.

Stopped by on the way to Kusatsu Onsen. I happened to go here because I wanted to enter a soba restaurant that I saw without doing any homework, and it was the right answer! The soba was of course delicious, but the tempura was also freshly fried and crispy. Maitake mushrooms were especially good. And the store clerk on this day was a grandmother, who was very kind and caring. It was a weekday and it was a little late for lunch, so we were the only customers, but we were welcomed and welcomed, and it was a very satisfying lunch. If I have a chance to go to Kusatsu Onsen again, I would like to go here.
