More Comments at Google MapIt was worth the drive from Oku-Nikko. I ordered radish soba (900 yen). It was refreshing and delicious with shiso leaves and pickled plums. The soba is 100 percent soba. delicious. The tempura soba (1,400 yen) had large toppings. All of the menu items have an impression of being generous, rather than pretentious. I was so happy that I was able to unexpectedly enjoy Gunma's specialty sashimi konnyaku. There was a box of tissues on each table, which was a nice touch.
I ate daikon soba with juwari soba. I also order daikon soba at other restaurants, but Midoriya's daikon is thinly sliced radish and is soaked in water, so it has a really good crunch! Even though the soba noodles were 100 percent soba and had a lot of portions, I was satisfied with the quantity, quality, aroma, and other aspects.
On the way back from Nikko, I descended from Kinsei Pass to Numata, and at Katashina Village, I ate collaboration soba (juwari and niha soba) with maitake mushroom tempura and was full of handmade soba noodles.
