The inside of the store is spacious, located in a renovated old folk house. There are table seats, tatami rooms, and a hearth. There are 3 parking spaces in front of the store and across the river. It opened at 11:30 and I visited at 12:00, but it was already full. Since it was a Sunday, customers were coming in one after another. Our proud homemade powdered soba from Kanuma is country soba that contains buckwheat noodles that have been dehulled and brown buckwheat noodles with black skin, and is made by hand using green bamboo. This time I ordered "Vegetable Tempori Soba/Maitake Mushroom Tempori Soba". The soba noodles are flavorful and chewy, and the soup has the flavor of dashi stock. Unfortunately, there is no time to catch up, so the water from the soba dilutes the soup. Tempura includes eggplant, green pepper, carrot, lotus root, and pumpkin. In addition to soba, the menu also includes tempura, rice, and a la carte dishes (snacks). There is a long wait until the soba is brought to you.

A wonderful shop that I came across while researching on the way to Kinugawa. The appearance of an old folk house makes you look forward to it even before you enter. I was drawn to the combination of chive soba, which I had never heard of as a Saitama resident, so I added chives to the tempura soba. I read other reviews that there was a bit of a wait, so I ordered fried river shrimp as a snack. This was good. The river shrimp arrived relatively quickly, so the soba noodles arrived before I felt like I had to wait too long. Chives and soba...I wish I had known about it sooner...The soba noodles here are made with a good soup mix, fresh chives, and delicious fresh water. This combination must be delicious. But I'll try to imitate it when I get home. Also, the staff was very attentive. It was a wonderful shop that I would definitely like to visit when I come to Tochigi again.
