We were recommended by a friend and stopped by on our way to Nikko. Absolutely worth the detour - excellent service, stunning scenery, and we had the most beautifully presented and most delicious unagi! The shirayaki, in particular, was exquisite and mouth-watering. Can't wait to visit again!

My husband and I visited here on our 25th wedding anniversary. It is a building with an atmosphere that stands in a peaceful rural landscape. There were no other customers, so we were able to enjoy our food in peace and quiet. Appetizers (candied sweetfish, eel liver tsukudani, whelk shellfish, oysters tsukudani), eel bone crackers, and stewed vegetables (eggplant and turnips) were delicious treats while we waited for our meals. My wife got a regular size 7,700 yen, and I got an extra large 8,800 yen. Mushroom miso soup with pickles. I was able to taste the best eel jus I've ever had. As soon as I put it in my mouth, it melted gently, and there was no oily or fishy smell, and I was able to eat it all the way to the end without getting bored with the light sauce that I liked. The way it was cooked was also served at the perfect time. The way the rice was cooked was neither too hard nor too soft, creating a perfect balance with the eel. The dessert (matcha ice cream, grapefruit, pineapple sorbet, shine muscat) was also elegant and delicious. The customer service was very bright and pleasant, so I felt comfortable. I was very happy that I was able to drop off my car on the way home. Also, I will definitely visit you for family anniversaries.
