Sano, Tochigi, Japan｜sanga wine & dining

This was a great choice for dinner. We asked our hotel to make a booking and the restaurant enquired about our nationality which we thought odd at the time. The reason became clear because they had quickly prepared an English translation of the menu before we arrived. So as you can surmise the service was very friendly and thoughtful. We were the only tourists within sight of course. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, with simple fresh ingredients, that really suited our foreign taste buds, but clearly appealed to the Japanese diners as well. Thank you so much.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was my first visit in a while. Since I was visiting by car, I had the pork cutlet set. It was a dish that looked great, and the sweet and spicy sauce and pink peppercorns on the cutlet had good ingredients and made me want a drink. That should be it. The owner/chef who is a senior sommelier is a specialist in wine, sake, and cocktails! We specialize in pairing alcohol and food. Choose your favorite wine from the menu chart, and let them suggest dishes that go well with that wine (Japanese sake is also available). This is a store where you can have fun. It would be cool if I actually lived nearby and could just casually enjoy a glass or two of wine and a few different plates and walk home whenever I felt like it. There are wines in the cellar that even serious wine lovers will enjoy, and the recommended wines by the glass that change seasonally are a great choice. (This time, it was Taurage aged in French oak.) The sake lineup is limited to connoisseurs, with emphasis on taste and quality rather than popularity. Once the coronavirus situation subsides, this is a restaurant I would like to find a hotel nearby and go for a relaxing drink. The atmosphere of the shop is modest, but it has a relaxing atmosphere with a sense of beauty from outside of England and China. This restaurant is recommended for rewarding yourself for working hard on a date or anniversary.

I went there for the first time (*´ー｀*) Sanga's seafood curry was probably the most delicious curry I've ever had! (*´ー｀*) As a helpless guy like me, the customer service is also great (*´ー｀*) I want to take my father next time (*´ー｀*) It's such a great shop ☺️
