First of all, the shop has a calm appearance like a hideaway, and there is a parking lot on the other side of the road, so it is safe for visitors by car. Advance reservation is essential, but this was the first time, so when making a reservation by phone, the chef's choice course was changed to the main Maru beef compared to fillet and sirloin. Before starting the course, the chef himself carefully explained the production area and cooking method of the ingredients of the course. The appetizer was a carefully crafted thinly-sliced ​​flounder with kelp tightening, and the white meat of the flounder had a sticky texture and the dressing of vinegared oranges accentuated the taste, and the taste of the fish spread in the mouth and was very delicious. Next, scallops and local zucchini are charred with butter and tomato sauce. It was delicious. Next is a dish of locally harvested asparagus grilled with three kinds of cheese. It was creamy and very delicious. In addition, there is a wide selection of wines, and if you are a wine lover, the food will go well with alcohol. . Finally, the main Ashikaga Maru Beef is a medium-rare dish that is grilled in two batches over Binchotan charcoal. It was a dish that made the most of the meat's potential with a dish that was moderately rare on the inside, and you could feel the careful work that took a long time to grill. Maru beef was very delicious with moderate marbling and condensed juicy redness, deep meat like aged meat and meat fibers that were crisp and firm. In addition to cooking with locally sourced ingredients, the chef's passion is conveyed to every detail, such as chopstick rests made of Oya stone from Oya, Tochigi, and plates made by a ceramic artist in Sano. It was a restaurant that made me want to visit again for cooking. When I left the store, I was impressed by the attitude of going out of the store, guiding me from the parking lot, and even turning the road. I think all of them are the best shops. I also have a lot of work in Tokyo and have been to many places to eat, but I have never been so impressed.
