Moka, Tochigi, Japan｜田吾作亭

My husband and I visited the store on a busy day during the holidays. Since it was going to be lunch time around Moka, I decided to check out a restaurant other than a chain restaurant. I'm sorry, but I didn't have high expectations when I just looked at the restaurant's name, but after trying it, I was disappointed. My wife had the fried seafood set meal and I had the grated tonkatsu set meal, and they were very delicious. The fries were large pieces of raw breadcrumbs and seemed to be the type that was cooked slowly at a low temperature. The thick meat was soft and juicy, without any oily smell, and went well with the grated radish. The rice was delicious, and even though I'm a small eater, I ate it all. The price is also reasonable, with the grated tonkatsu set meal costing 1,100 yen (as of September 17, 2023) The host was also a friendly person, and we had a great time talking about bikes on the way home. I'd like to stop by again when I'm passing by.
