Motegi, Tochigi, Japan｜赤坂の森

Great restaurant in this otherwise sleepy town. For western travellers, there are two things to rejoice. An English menu is available and the restaurant opens up till 9.30PM. The entire town otherwise shuts down at 6.30 even during summers. The food was very good. A humble owner manager and some dated interiors. I ordered Tonkatsu Curry-rice and my son ordered a Pizza. Both were delicious. The pizza was old fashioned grilled to crispy perfection. If you are in the town (most likely for watching motor race) then do visit this restaurant.

Tonteki, it was soft, delicious and voluminous. Next time I want to eat hamburger & fried shrimp and cutlet curry.

This is Akasaka no Mori, a restaurant in Motegi. "It's like a family restaurant in Motegi, where there aren't many restaurants." The menu has anything. The retro atmosphere and delicious food are the best.
