high quality! I have been to many scenic restaurants. The service and decor of this restaurant are top-notch. It feels like a classic "Meiji Japanese-style western food" to me The food and beverage ingredients are all fresh, as shown by the "シーフードドリア" ordered by my wife. The taste of rice, shrimp and clams can tell that it is definitely not frozen. tasty! The price is a bit higher than the general store price. But compared to other scenic spots, I think the price of this one is so cheap! And have such good quality. Nearby, I think this store is the most worthwhile for you to have a final meal and complete your trip to Nikko.

Mako is definitely an underrated restaurant. We found this restaurant online. Since it is located near the place we stayed we decided to give it a try. We were the only table that night. At first we were doubtful about our choice especially we waited for sometime for our food. However when food arrived they didn't only smell good but tasted so delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the pork chop was so juicy. We were so satisfied that night not to mention the atmosphere and deco of the restaurant was nice too.

Very wonderful little restaurant. The atmosphere was great. We felt like we were in a vintage living room. The food was amazing, too. We had a hamburger with garlic sauce. Great service and very nice owners. We recommend to go there if you're staying in Nikko!
