Nikko, Tochigi, Japan｜Sobadokoro Mutsumi-an

Not too far from the train and bus stations, but I missed the right turning and so had to backtrack and took longer than I had expected to get there. They greeted me even before I had the chance to step through the inner door. I had their yuba soba, which is well-known in Nikko. The yuba is soft and unwinds like a ribbon. Lovely.

I walk along river and pass by this restaurant ' highly recommended.

This shop is located just in front of the exit (slightly to the right) of the Nikko IC exit on the expressway towards Nikko Toshogu Shrine. It was hot, so I went in thinking I wanted a quick meal, and the restaurant was busy, probably because it was lunchtime. The soba noodles, the maitake mushroom tempura, and the cooked rice were all delicious.
