Shioya, Tochigi, Japan｜千門天

A small Chinese restaurant in Shioya. The lunch options are abundant, cheap and delicious. There is a lot of volume, and if you are a light eater, you may not be able to eat the set meal. I ordered a mini set (half fried rice, half ramen, 3 gyoza dumplings, pickles set), but half fried rice was generally a single serving, and it was delicious with plenty of homemade char siu. Half Ramen is a simple soy sauce ramen from the old days and it was also delicious. The dumplings were about 1.5 times the size of normal dumplings and were filled with garlic. It was quite a volume, but it was delicious, so I ate it all. The restaurant is run by an elderly couple, so if it is crowded, it will take some time to serve.

I ate here for the first time today. I used to come to the nearby roadside station a few times, but I didn't come to the old road often. When I entered the shop, there were many set menus, and I was worried. I ate a set of yakiniku fried rice and half ramen as a recommendation of the shop. The yakiniku fried rice was very well seasoned, and it was very good with my own taste. Even though it was half ramen, there was a reasonable amount and it was very good. I took my sister, but she likes miso ramen, so she ate vegetable miso ramen. The soup is full of vegetables and the soup is refreshing. Unlike ramen noodles, miso ramen noodles are medium thick. There are a wide variety of lunch sets. I don't think you can go wrong no matter which one you order. 3C's Yakiniku Fried Rice & Half Ramen is probably the most popular! Personally, I also like Lunch 8's Back Fat Ramen, Gyoza & Half Fried Rice! Even though it's called half-fried rice, there's quite a bit of it! The gyoza has star anise in it, so your tastes may differ! Personally, I like it! It's a nice shop with a charming staff.
