Nikko, Tochigi, Japan｜Sanraku

Cute small place to have lunch. We ate the curry and the veggies soba and they were both good. They were 1000¥ each. They served us tea when we arrived. We sat in the tatami.

Great place to try the local yuba! We had the soba yuba ramen and we loved the very tasty and not too salty boullion. We thought the yuba would be a bit tasteless but it turned out to be juicy and delicious. The service was excellent (as always in Japan) and we could communicate in basic English. Suitable for vegetarians

Ordered udon with yuba. It is delicious. Yuba lives up to the hype as being a Nikko specialty. Staff is very friendly. Menu is available in English. If you are hoping for a less hurried experience, come around 11am before the crowd.
