Yakage, Okayama, Japan｜Noragi-ya

Hands down the best udon shop in Yakage Town. The udon is made from ancient rice grain which makes the color gray, but it’s often referred to as black udon. The soup is light and deep in flavor, served with homemade pickled vegetables. You can also buy for 50yen a bowl of purple/black ancient rice (delicious!). The owner and his wife, locals of Yakage are friendly and happy to talk about their udon or Yakage. Right behind Yakage station, easy to find.

Why aren't there any customers even though it's so delicious? ? I was worried that the black noodles would break easily, but they were delicious. The meat in the meat udon is even more delicious. The pickled vegetables that come with it are also delicious. If you don't have a concept of deliciousness, you might want to try it at least once.

The friendly wife provided courteous service. It was delicious with healthy ancient rice and kneaded udon noodles. thank you very much. I think I'll try other menu items next time.
