Kasaoka, Okayama, Japan｜Bizen

A variety of dishes using fresh fish from local Yorishima and Kasaoka. The sake was also inspired by the Kami spirit of Yorishima. The store has a quiet and warm atmosphere. We had a great time and immersed ourselves in nostalgic memories.

We made a reservation in advance and had it in a private room. I ordered a recommended lunch (maybe it was an omakase lunch?). Each dish is made with great care, and the conger soup was exquisite! Sea bream rice is mixed with perilla leaves and Japanese ginger. It was very delicious. I was told that I could take it home if I couldn't finish it, but it was so delicious I could eat it with my chopsticks and finished it. I also ordered yuzu juice, but it has a bitter taste from the yuzu, so tastes may differ. I liked this yuzu juice because it wasn't too sweet. It seems that payment is only in cash. Both the clerk and the chef are very nice people. I had a pleasant meal. I think it would be even better if the scenery was nice. I would like to come back to eat delicious Japanese food.

I used it for a family dinner party. The dishes were prepared with great care and I was able to reconfirm how delicious Kasaoka's ingredients are. My brother's family, who had returned from Tokyo, were also impressed. I'm also happy that if you don't finish eating the sea bream rice, they wrap it up so you can take it home.
