Everything on the menu looked delicious, so I had a lot of trouble ordering. And they were all delicious. The hamburger is juicy and the shrimp is plump. The tartar sauce was also delicious. The staff at the store were also kind and nice. I think I want to go again.
This store has a very good reputation and I've been interested in it for a while. I haven't had a chance to go to Soja lately, but after participating in the Kibiji Marathon, I finally visited. The atmosphere of the shop is very Showa-style, and it's not new, but it's not old-fashioned either, and it feels very homey. It's a popular restaurant, so I was prepared to wait, but since I went there right after it opened at 5pm on a Sunday evening, I was able to sit down without having to wait. Since I was alone, I took a seat at the counter right in front of the kitchen. After checking the menu, I ordered the special pork loin cutlet set meal and a large serving of rice, which was a bit gorgeous. This is a popular restaurant, with customers coming in one after another even after ordering and while the food is being served, and several customers ordering take-out over the phone. The freshly fried special pork loin cutlet was very thick but extremely soft, and I finished it in no time. The only thing I didn't like was the miso soup. I think this is a matter of taste, but for health reasons, my family prefers light miso soup, but the miso soup at this restaurant was a bit strong. This is just my personal opinion, so please bear with me. By the way, the kitchen was basically run by an elderly chef, and the four people, who appeared to be the chef's wife, the chef's son, and his wife, worked very efficiently as a team. There were various menus, so if I have a chance to go to Soja, I would like to stop by again. (Visited after 5pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023)
