More Comments at Google MapIt was crowded with locals. I didn't make a reservation, so it was busy at lunchtime, but I was there in about 30 minutes. I had Kaede Gozen and Tendon. It was a lot of food so it was difficult to eat, but I was very satisfied. Above all, the sauce on the tempura bowl was delicious, and there were three types of salt, so I enjoyed the different flavors. The atmosphere and taste were all great! This is one of the restaurants I would like to visit again during my travels.
When I came to Setouchi City for work, I casually visited. I was lucky enough to enter the store without waiting. I had a tempura bowl today, and the crispy tempura towered like a mountain, and the conger eel tempura was enshrined like a river flowing at the foot of the mountain. Of course, the tempura was crispy, but it was a delicious tempura that allowed you to fully enjoy the taste of the ingredients. Conger eel, shrimp, squid, white fish, sweet potato, lotus root, asparagus, okra, zucchini? It was a luxurious tempura rice bowl with many ingredients, and you can enjoy the difference in texture and taste of each. If you come near me, I will visit you again.
I went to the store without a reservation, so I was told to wait for about an hour, but I was guided inside the store in about 30 minutes. The interior of the restaurant, which looks like an old private house that has been beautifully renovated, had a very calm and comfortable atmosphere. What I received was Joten Gozen. Seasonal vegetables, conger eel, shrimp, fillet, pork, and shiso tempura are served in three portions, ensuring that you always receive piping hot, freshly fried tempura. For the seasoning, you could choose your favorite from tempura sauce, plum salt, matcha salt, and shijimi salt (which seems to change depending on the season). When served with shijimi salt, it was moist and the flavor of the shijimi softened the saltiness of the salt. It went well with any kind of tempura, but the thick okra I started with went perfectly with the conger eel and shrimp. The shrimp tempura in particular has a plump texture and is fried just enough to retain its sweetness without being too hot or fishy, making it an exquisite dish ❗️ There was also a set meal that came with three pieces of shrimp tempura, which is a must-have for shrimp tempura fans, and that was good too. Now I have a reason to come to the store next time🙆 For me, it was a bit of an exciting lunch, but I was able to enjoy a sense of satisfaction that was well worth the price. When I'm nearby, this is the store I want to stop by.
