I visited for the first time in the summer of 2020, and it's already been three years since I started going every week. The daily set meal (750 yen, this is a bargain, too cheap), as the name suggests, you can have a different kind of delicious side dish every day. You can spend a relaxing time with the exquisite Japanese food prepared by the owner's mother.

2021.10.17 When you get off the car at the Okayama Prefecture Nature Conservation Center parking lot, the first thing that jumps into your eyes is the teahouse in this township. It is located near the entrance of the protection center, surrounded by greenery, and at the back, there is an artificial waterfall with a drop of about 2 meters. On the day of the event, the rain from the previous day had stopped and it was a mild autumn day. While listening to the soothing sound of the waterfall with the wooden door open, everyone was enjoying their meals without the delicious-sized miso-simmered mackerel, which may have been the set meal of the day. I should have eaten at this time, but after seeing the red-crowned cranes... It was only before 2:00 pm that I returned from a walk in the conservation center. Other customers seemed to be enjoying the noodles, but I was forced to leave this place because I had other things to do. This teahouse has seats not only inside but also outside, so it is possible to entertain a large number of people. On the other hand, the kitchen is surprisingly small, and the shop seems to have only two elderly women today. With today's number of customers, I'm sure I'll be able to serve customers without any problems, but it may be unavoidable that various negative situations will arise... However, since the number of customers cannot be accurately predicted, it is a difficult problem. Especially at this time when so many people are frustrated. Most udon restaurants in Kagawa are self-service, and unless customers do what is said to be the "service" that they should receive as a matter of course, they will not be able to eat even a bowl of kake udon. There, you have to do the usual service you get at a restaurant in the city, such as guiding you to your seat, clearing the table, wiping down the table, and serving hot water and cold water. With that in mind, how about listening to the sound of a waterfall, looking at the seasonal trees, and having a meal in a relaxed and comfortable manner? If it weren't for me, I'd say, 'You look busy, can I go inside to get you a cold drink? ’ and maybe even let me into the kitchen. I wonder if that's too much. Anyway, it's a rustic country dish, and I'm grateful for the rice cooked by people like my mother, even if it's not free. ｡◕‿◕｡

This is a tea shop located at the entrance of the Okayama Prefectural Nature Conservation Center. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. It's open even in winter, so it's perfect after a walk.
