[Visited on 2023.04.23] I went on a day trip to Shizuoka to explore food. The restaurant, which is about a 5-minute walk from Shimada Station, is a long-established Japanese restaurant that was founded in 1965. The inside of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere, and in addition to counter seats, there are table seats and private rooms, so I thought it would be a good place to use for a special occasion meal. The sesame tofu was served in a glass bowl. Served with okra. Next is firefly squid and torigai. Enjoy refreshingly with vinegared miso. Ichibo's kelp jime is grilled as sushi, and the meat melts in your mouth. I was surprised at how big the asparagus in the fried asparagus and fresh green tea tempura was. The foie gras chawan mushi, a popular menu item, was excellent. The richness and flavor are condensed and it's delicious. Yukhoe is topped with plenty of sea urchin. The combination of the sweetness of the meat and the richness of the sea urchin is irresistible. Ichibo's steak is lean meat with almost no fat, so the meat is firm and delicious. Sirloin shabu-shabu is served with uru and bamboo shoots. Both the meat and bamboo shoots were tender and had a mild flavor. The dish ended with rice cooked with bamboo shoots and peas, which was a nice touch as it also contained meat.

About 7 minutes on foot from Shimada Station. A reservation-only shop. I was told by someone at work. It seems that you can have lunch from 5000 yen on weekdays. This time is a course of 16000 yen. Although it is Japanese cuisine, it uses truffles and foie gras, making it a little innovative. The foie gras chawanmushi, which can be said to be the restaurant's signature menu, is full of truffles, and I want to repeat it just for this. Still, the turnip grated hot pot feels like Japanese cuisine. The scent of celery was irresistible! I also ate miso-flavored wild yam for the first time, but it was a little sweeter than the soy sauce-based one, and it was delicious. The dessert was a ripe persimmon sorbet, which was delicious with its natural sweetness.

My daughter and I go there every month. The seasonal dishes change every month and are delicious every time. Spending lunch time with my daughter is an important place to be. Thank you to all the owners and employees. I am looking forward to next month as well.
